This traditional stone cottage has just been newly renovated using earth friendly materials to a very high standard, creating a characterful and elegant atmosphere. 

It is attached to the annexe of the historic Trevaccoon Mansion and enjoys the benefits of the lawns and surrounding woodland and grounds.

It features delightful views over the hills to the sea and Strumble Head, and has a classical cottage frontage, sash windows and ample parking. Sleeps 4.

The ground floor consists of a large light open-plan sitting room with kitchen and dining area.

The sitting room area has a wood burning stove and oak floors with under floor heating. The walls feature a number of charming alcoves.

There is a door opening onto the south-facing courtyard behind the mansion which is shared by the residents and other guests.

The kitchen has a newly-fitted “Shaker” style kitchen with hand crafted oak cabinets, a large Britannia oven & hob, Corian work surfaces, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, and ample storage. 

Both kitchen and dining areas have elegant stone tiled floors with under floor heating.  The dining area has a circular pine table with 6 chairs. 

The kitchen has French doors opening onto a private patio area which opens onto the woodland and gardens.

There are laundry facilities attached to the main house.

A hand crafted oak staircase leads to the first floor bedrooms and bathroom.

The upstairs rooms have sloped ceilings with velux windows.
There is a master bedroom with king sized bed, and the second bedroom has twin beds.

Both bedrooms are simply furnished with chest of drawers, bedside tables and lamps.  There is wardrobe space on the landing.

The bathroom has a plunge pool type shower/bath in stone with a circular mosaic floor.  There is a wash hand basin with shaver point.

There is a colour TV and DVD player and broadband internet is available at no extra charge if you have a laptop.

• We provide all duvets, pillows, bed linen, bath and hand towels but people are asked to bring their own beach towels.
• A vacuum cleaner is also provided.
• The heating and hot water supply for Sarah’s cottage are served by our own log burning boiler using sustainable timber.
• One basketful of firewood is initially provided for the stove, and can be purchased locally.
• Bookings are normally taken Friday to Friday but shorter breaks can be catered for, particularly out of season.
